  • SMS content: only take into account messages containing a specific keyword or phrase.

Planitel lets you set up several types of alerts to let on-call staff know that an important SMS has arrived:

  • Instant SMS forwarding: the SMS is sent straight on to the people on call.
  • Automatic email: an email is generated to warn the on-call staff that an important SMS has come in.
  • Automated call: a phone call with a pre-recorded message is triggered automatically.

This last type of alert is particularly effective, because the phone keeps ringing until the on-call person answers.
You can also require acknowledgment by pressing a key, such as the star key.
